I went to Edinburgh on a shopping trip with a friend because my parents got me two tickets to see The Lion King at the Edinburgh Playhouse for my birthday. With two days in Edinburgh and no real plans made, we decided to do quite a lot of shopping, and I think I picked up some real gems. I picked up two clothing items; an slouchy cable knit cream jumper from Urban Outfitters in the sale and a fitted grey dress with a gathered side from Zara TRF for £25.99. I love both and I think they will both become staples in my winter wardrobe.

We went to the Harvey Nichols in St Andrew's Square to pick up some gifts. I bought my mum the Mimosa Dyptique candle as a thank-you-present for the trip and the Nail's Inc The Editors Collection for a friend's birthday. My friend sneakily bought me a Korres lip butter in Quince when I wasn't looking as a thank-you gift for taking her with me and I love it! It was very thoughtful, and if we had more time I would have probably spent all my money in Harvey Nichols.

But most of my money was spent in the large Boots on Princes Street. I picked up the Real Techniques Blusher Brush which I have been wanting for a long time, as well as the Maybelline 24hr Colour Tattoo in Pomegranate. There was an offer on at Rimmel that if you spent over £10 then you would receive a free mascara, so I picked up a Moisture Renew Lipstick in Fun-Time Fuchsia (now available in Poundland!), Scandaleyes Eye-shadow Paint in Rich Russet and another Apocalips, this time in Eclipse. I was so pleased with all of the things that I purchased, and so do not be surprised if you see more than one of these products crop up again in a review some time soon!
