I went to London Fashion Weekend with my mum this year for my sixteenth birthday. The experience was amazing and it was one of the best trips that I have ever been on. I did spend quite a lot of money when I was in London in various places such as Selfridges and Libertys as well as the pop-ups in London Fashion Weekend itself but one of the places where I was most surprised with my purchases was the Maybelline stall at the event. London Fashion Weekend was sponsored by Maybelline and they had a large room where you could get your make-up done, watch make-up classes or buy from their huge range of products. I picked up some products there that I had never seen from Maybelline before, partly because of the small range that we have in our Boots in Aberdeen and I was very impressed with what I tried.

The first product I picked up were the new Maybelline Baby Lips Intense. I had previously tried the red and pink original formula Baby Lips and had mixed opinions; I love the red one and am on my second one but I hated the pink one and gave it away to a friend! However, these new ones really intrigued me so I was excited to try them. The colour pay-off from these products is magical. The purple and the pink both come out so intensely, however still look very wearable on the lips and I often wear them to school. While the staying power is only 1-2 hours as it is a balm formula, they are so easy to reapply and I think this formula is much more hydrating than the original one. I also think that the scent of these is much nicer as it still smells and tastes sweet but not as sickly as the previous ones. Overall, I was very impressed by these and will be buying more soon!

The next product I bought has now become holy-grail to me; the Brow Satin brow pencil. Similar to that of the Anastasia Brow Whiz, I use the pencil end to create short, natural hair-like lines to create an everyday brow look. If I want my eyebrows to look more intense (which is most days) then I'll go in with the powder afterwards to make the brows darker. Previously to this, I had been using Charcoal Brown by MAC and while I liked the finish that the powder gave, the colour was slightly too warm-toned for me and depending on what foundation I was using, sometimes my brows would appear orange! However, the colour of this pencil is amazing as the medium brown is ashy and cool-toned, making it match my hair colour much better. I now use this product everyday on my eyebrows and I don't know what I would do without it!

The final product I picked up I did so on a whim as they were doing a deal on the amount of products you had and I needed one more, so quickly I picked up the Colour Drama lip pencil. I chose a red as I saw that the product was matte and I wanted a bright red matte lip product. This pencil is incredible - it is super easy to apply and glides on easily. It is very matte and paired with a lip liner this does not budge for at least 4 hours even with eating and drinking! I am very impressed by it and it is now my go-to red lip.

More posts will be coming soon from my trip and amazing experience at London Fashion Weekend, so stay tuned!
