I recently received the Nars Satin Lipstick in Afghan Red for my birthday and I can easily say that it is my favourite lipstick. The formula of these are incredible; they glide on easily and have a slight 'glow' to them without being shiny or wet looking but don't dry out your lips like a matte liptick does. The lasting power is impressive for a non-matte formula at around 4 hours when applied correctly (apply-blot-apply). The colour pay off is amazing and I was impressed by the lighter shade as it appears well on my skin despite the fact that I naturally have quite dark lips. These lipsticks have beautiful packaging so look lovely as a gift (or a gift to yourself!). They don't smell or taste of anything which I like as it doesn't affect you when you're eating, and they are very lightweight so you don't even notice you're wearing something!

Unfortunately, the shade range is not huge with only 12 shades but they are very varied so I would say that there is something for everyone. Personally, I don't like my lighter lip colours to be a matte or satin finish so I'm not crazy over Niagara however Afghan Red is by far my favourite lipstick of all time - the colour is perfect for autumn/winter but I can already see myself continuing to wear this shade when we get into spring and summer next year!
