I am writing this post in advance today as by the time I post this I will be in Paris with my higher and advanced higher French class during our February long-weekend break we get in Scotland. I am currently procrastinating packing and thought I would write up a quick post as all of this travel preparation has got me thinking about places that I would love to travel so I thought I would mention them!

Inter-Rail Around Europe
I am in love with Europe; I love the architecture and the food and the culture, and because I can speak a little French and an even littler Spanish I tend to get by whenever I visit these countries. I can't imagine ever living somewhere other than Europe as I feel so suited to it compared to other countries (however there is much of Asia and Australia that I have never visited) and I would like to explore as much of the continent as possible. I would love to packback around Europe for a few weeks with my friends. If I were ever to do this, I would love to go to; France, Belguim. Germany, Poland, Czech Republic, Slovakia and Hungary. I would love to visit these countries because I have close friends in Poland and Slovakia, I have heard such great things about Prague and Brussels from friends and family and I would love to visit Budapest in Hungary as well.

The Return of the Roadtrip
When I was six years old my parents, sister and I did a mammoth road trip across America. We started in New York for three days before flying to California and hitting almost every single state along the west cost and then southern border as we made our way to Key West at the south of Florida over the course of three months. This trip was amazing and we managed to cross 13 states (and a 14th one on a second, smaller trip) off of our list, however I would love to go back! If I were to do it again I would go with my sister (one of the few people I could stand being in a car with for that long!) and would start in New York for a few days again, and then drive along the northern border and ending in California and spending some time in LA, a city we previously missed on our first trip.

Sunbathing in Bali
I am much more of a do-er on holiday and would prefer to be going out and going places, doing things and learning about the area than relaxing on a beach all day. However, if I were to ever go on a relaxing holiday, I would definitely want to fly to Bali. The island, off the coast of Indonesia and Singapore, looks beautiful and the perfect blend of relaxing hotels and beaches mixed with traditional culture. I could imagine going on this holiday with a close friend, my sister (again, she's basically my best friend!) or (in the future) my significant other.
