Spring has now arrived, and that means an update to your wardrobe. I have broken down my favourite SS15 trends with pieces from the highstreet, one of which is a bargain at under £50 and the other is more of an investment piece at under £100.

White Tailoring
New Look Bandeau Culotte Jumpsuit, £19.99   /   River Island Sleeveless Jacket, £55.
The colour white is going to be everywhere this season, but it seems to be popping up in two distinctly different styles. The first is modern tailoring, a trend that comes around slightly different every few seasons and one that I am always excited to see. I had to feature my favourite piece in this whole style guide first and it is this strapless tailored jumpsuit from Newlook with pockets and wide culotte legs. When I saw that this was under £20 I couldn't believe it, and right now this is top of my wish list. Whether you love or hate them, I can't seem to get away from sleeveless jackets right now. I think that they look best in white or black and I would pair them with a long sleeved polo-neck and some tailored trousers. They are the perfect layering option for spring as the weather starts to brighten up here in Scotland (I write this as we have snow in April...)

Stripes
Asos Petite Stripe Playsuit, £40   /   TOPSHOP UNIQUE Stripe Cropped Knit, £60
I am so happy to see that the print this season is going to be stripes, particularly stripes of varying widths. I think that this is a great trend to invest in as if you purchase it in black and white (for me the only way you should do stripes!) as then these pieces will become timeless and can be worn all year round!

Denim
Miss Selfridge Utility Denim Shirt Dress, £42   /   Free People Denim Flare, £98
I have been eyeing up this denim dress ever since I spotted it on one of my favourite blogs, What Olivia Did and have now been watching Miss Selfridge's website to check it doesn't go out of stock almost every day! With 70's hitting the catwalks in a big way, I felt that I couldn't talk about denim without mentioning flared jeans. Flares are infamous for a reason as they can look wrong and throw the proportion of your leg off so easily, so I think investing in a good-fitting pair is key.

White Crochet
True Decadence Sheer Lace Pencil Skirt, £19.50   /   Zara Crochet Kimono, £59.99
The other major way that white is in this season is on crochet or large laced patterns. This has been all over my Instagram feed as of late, particularly Coachella go-ers. I purchased this skirt on the left from a brand called True Decadence on Asos in a tall size for only £15 (!?) and am amazed with the fit and quality. On the right, I am currently crushing on this stunning white/cream lace kimono from Zara. I think that this is such an essential piece for summer as it could be thrown over just about anything and add a boho, festival chic feel effortlessly.
